The Explomet™ 3 is the Kontinitro field instrument for Velocity of Detonation measurement. Housed in a rugged transport case, it is designed for large scale V.O.D tests carried out directly on blast sites, in quarries and in mines.

Field measurement imposes constraints that laboratory instruments do not face: dust, humidity, temperature swings, long cable runs and strong electromagnetic disturbance from firing circuits. The Explomet 3 answers those constraints with an all-optical input chain and a sealed transport case that doubles as the working enclosure.
