Our Explomet instruments allow you to check the detonation or combustion speed of your products to match the expected standard. Detonation speed greatly influences rock fragmentation, propulsion speed and detonator delays. Confirming the correct V.O.D saves a lot of resources, and therefore money.
From microseconds to minutes
The same measurement chain covers both detonation, where events are separated by microseconds, and slow combustion, where a propellant or fuse burns for up to three minutes.
